Major road improvement on the A12

Chelmsford City Council as one of the host authorities has been invited and has responded to the latest proposals to widen the road to 3 lanes north of the Boreham interchange (junction 19) to Marks Tey. This is a Highways England proposal so the power of local authorities to change things is very limited.

Cathedral Grounds

Planning to reimagine the Cathedral grounds is at an initial stage, but it looks like one of the best open spaces in the City Centre will be much improved with the removal of some tree species, planting of others and upgrading the paving and routes across the grounds.
